Lawns

The perfect lawn is the envy of all homeowners that’s why Hillsdon Landscape Services only use Rolawn Medallion.
The best way to produce premium quality turf is to use the finest blend of seeds and take exceptional care in sowing, cultivating and harvesting. Rolawn has exacting standards in all these areas.

Medallion turf is specially cultivated to produce a turf with an outstanding fine leaf appearance that is hardwearing, slow growing, easy to maintain and drought tolerant. It is ideal where a high quality appearance, strength and low maintenance are important.

Aftercare

Mowing

Mowing is the single most important act of lawn maintenance you can start mowing as soon as five days after laying medallion turf if this can be done without disturbing the rooting process. Most people leave the grass to get too long before mowing. Do not mow shorter than 1inch, as doing so will cause significant problems
Never remove more than one third of the grass leaf length at any one time.

Watering

Generally, during June-September you should water Medallion turf about once a week. Well established Medallion turf can be left during extremely warm, dry periods to go dormant, the colour will return as temperatures drop and rain falls.

Feeding

Feed your Medallion turf a minimum of every Spring and Autumn. It is important that the lawn food is spread uniformly, otherwise your turf could become patchy in appearance.

Weed Control

There will be no broad leaf weed in your Medallion turf when it is delivered. New weed growth must be treated appropriately to prevent encroachment.

Maintenance

Other aftercare procedures such as weed, pest and disease control, scarifying and aerating should be undertaken to maintain the quality of the lawn.
